Fagus Sylvatica (beech) pleached 2-2.2 metre high stem, 16 - 18cm girth, 200cm x 150cm trellis Fagus Sylvatica, the common beech, is a deciduous tree with a display of rich clours as its leaves 'fade' in autumn.
It's insignificant flowers produce hairy friuts that ripen in autumn to provide edible triangular nuts.
The beech will grow in any soil but avoid waterlogged areas of your gaden. It rquires sun or semi-shade. If required, trim in summer.
