as 1994 by a park ranger in Australia in Wollemi National Park - in a secret location. There have only been 100 adult trees found in the wild to this day- hense the need for secrecy.
In spite of its rarity it is a versatile plant that will tolerate extreme heat full sun or shade and cold down to -12 degrees c.
Features of this unusual plant include the production of bubbling liquid from the age of 5 years old and the production of a waxy shean
which it is believed has helped it cope with the colder winter months.
