Would you Adam and Eve it! these plants have had a variety of uses over the years from bowel regulatory fruit to primitive lingerie.
Although hardy, they can withstand temperatures to -12 degrees C, these trees need a sunny location to reward you with fruit between June and August. They will grow between 3-9 metres but you can mantain them at your desired height by trimming.
They prefer well drained soil and will need regular watering until established and then occasional deep watering during the summer.
